The company ' Ferme Bio W&F ' located in Grand-Souza in the department of Moungo (Littoral Region) is looking for 1 fish farming agent for service needs . The fish farming agent is responsible for putting the fish in the best growing conditions with regard to the production objectives to be achieved in order to meet the quantitative and qualitative needs of the market.
ACTIVITIES
The fish farming agent carries out the various work of fish farming.
It is responsible for feeding the fish (distribution and/or control of feeding).
It monitors the growth of the fish (weighing of samples, establishment of the average weight, etc.).
He monitors the well-being of the fish (quantity and quality of water, level of oxygenation, state of health) and makes the necessary adjustments if necessary.
He carries out fish treatments (balneation, anesthesia, etc.).
It carries out sorting and fish movement operations (distribution in different basins in order to have a homogeneous population).
It ensures the fishing of fish with a view to their marketing. The fish are then sorted, packaged and shipped.
It records the data needed to monitor breeding and is increasingly associated with the technical analysis of breeding results.
He carries out the cleaning and disinfection of the pools.
He maintains the production equipment (grids, pumps, sorters, etc.).
The fish farming agent participates in agricultural production through various missions.
§ Prepare the land before sowing,
§ Sow the seeds,
§ Treat crops against undesirables,
§ Ensure adequate watering of crops,
§ Ensure the proper development of the plantations,
§ Harvest the production,
§ Assist the operations manager.
The fish farming agent will contribute to the expeditions by helping to load the truck, ensuring local deliveries. Secondarily, it will intervene in the maintenance of buildings and green spaces, even fishing courses.
The fish farming agent will carry out his activity based on the guidelines given by the production manager. He will have to follow the evolution of the fish until it is caught.
Skills and qualities
The fish farming agent must have a keen sense of observation and rigour. A good knowledge of fish behavior is essential in order to define the necessary adjustments with relevance. He has a great ability to anticipate and must be able to react to breeding incidents effectively. He is familiar with the computer tool.
Proficiency in driving would be an asset.
Training: Professional or technical baccalaureate in a field related to fish farming or breeding or any other equivalent diploma.
