A company based in Yaoundé is looking for a Technical Director
Telecommunications Networks for the needs of its services


Missions:
  • Participate in the definition of the company's innovation strategy
  • Study the technical positioning of the company (technologies involved, qualification of the technological environment, etc.)

  • Work in interface with the marketing department to understand the evolution of customer needs and transform them into technical orientations
  • Ensure and/or manage a technological watch
  • Build and maintain relationships with the company's technology partners
  • Participate in the response phases of calls for tenders
  • Manage the choice and intervention of possible external service providers
  • Supervise teams in particular stimulate the training and self-training processes of its teams and manage recruitments
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
  • Very good command of network and system issues (TCP/IP, Ethernet, LAN, WAN X25, including security layers
  • Mastery of the management of infrastructure software (operating systems, mail servers, databases, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of telecom and Internet technologies (DNS, SSH, FTP, DHCP, HTTP(S), NTP, SNMP ...)
  • Knowledge of databases (Oracle, SQLServer...)
  • Very good knowledge of major operating systems (including Windows and Unix)
  • Knowledge of security standards and procedures and related tools and technologies: firewall, antivirus, authentication servers, URL filtering, etc.
  • Expertise in the administration of networks and systems (routers, firewalls, etc.)
  • Very good command of IP/IPSec network and MPLS interconnection contexts
  • Good knowledge of different routing protocols, Ethernet technologies and different HUB, VSAT network equipment
  • Supervise the installation and configuration of equipment (switches, routers, etc.) and network administration software (and telecoms).
  • Define all the backups necessary to maintain the security of the data circulating in the corporate network.
Prerequisites for access to employment
  • This function is aimed at an experienced candidate profile: 5 years of experience
  • Fluency in technical English
  • Minimum Bac + 4 in networks and telecommunications
