Context and challenges :

DKT International is a non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO), based in Washington DC, USA. DKT International’s mission is to improve access to sexual health products and services through social marketing.


The DKT International Francophone West and Central Africa program was established in 2015. The regional headquarters are based in Dakar, Senegal. DKT FWACA is also present in Cameroon and Côte d’Ivoire, countries from which DKT FWACA carries out its social marketing activities in about ten countries in the region.

It is in the context that DKT International FWACA is today looking for a Program Officer / Program Officer Attached to the DKT FWACA Program Manager, your missions will be:

Effective management of the DKT FWACA grant portfolio

Prospect research and identification of new potential partnership opportunities

Collect lessons learned and promising practices from DKT sales teams and offices throughout the region that can be channeled into internal communications (eg newsletters), as well as donor materials (eg. g. proposals, reports, newsletters).

Maintain donor records and database

Contribute to a collaborative, efficient and positive donor team

Creation of reports and other documents describing DKT projects and impact

Communication with donors and partners

Monitoring of trends related to deliverables (call center, digital, M&E)

Ensure internal activities are aligned with donor deliverables (research, marketing, budget allocation)

Proposal writing

Finding leads

Other projects and administrative tasks as needed


 Profile:

Master’s level required (Bac + 4), preferably in communications, program management or a related field of study Experience with an international non-governmental organization is preferable


Work experience

2 to 5 years of experience in a similar position

Experience working with various donors, managing and building relationships

Experience in project coordination

Proven experience in writing Changing lives through social marketing reports

Required Skills:

Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills (to deal with staff at all levels, partners, external agencies and the public)

Good written communication skills, including writing and editing reports and documents in English – drafting, proofreading and editing skills, with particular attention to accuracy and detail

Proven personal organizational and time management skills (meeting deadlines and working under pressure, prioritizing workload, multi-tasking and ability to adapt and be flexible in a challenging environment)

General organizational skills (management and organization of internal meetings and external events such as seminars and conferences)

Experience working with US donors or visiting groups

Essential Personal Qualities

English writing skills required

Ability to work independently but also in a team

Ability to perform under pressure

Attention to precision and detail

Proficiency in email, general office software (Microsoft Office suite) and other information programs

Ability to work with a news agency, marketing organization, NGO or international organization

High level of intercultural interpersonal skills and personal maturity

Ability to influence multiple stakeholders

Enthusiasm, initiative and flexibility

Integrity and honesty

Leadership and organizational skills

Language skills

Perfect command of French (written and spoken)

Perfect command of written and spoken English

Travel within the region is planned, up to 10% of working time
