POSITION: Regional Accountant (Cameroon, Chad, Congo, CAR)

TYPE OF CONTRACT: FIXED-TERM CONTRACT

DURATION: 12 MONTHS

A- Main mission and expected skills

Under the supervision of the Administrative and Financial Manager, the accountant will have the mission to ensure the proper keeping of accounts, to collect and verify accounting data, to establish closing operations and regulatory documents. The accountant's mission will be to monitor the processing of various operations, and to set up dashboards for management control in the sub-region (Cameroon, Chad, Congo, CAR).

Responsibilities

  • Verify and record supporting accounting documents (purchase invoices, receipts, receipts, payroll journals, expense reports among others),
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Process, according to the standard of the chart of accounts, the dedicated accounting operations: assessment of items awaiting settlement, payment of supplier invoices, financing of various expenses and fixed assets.
  • Close the accounting year: prepare the annual accounts and record the financial statements, keep up to date the mandatory accounting documents for internal controls.
  • Create customer and supplier accounts and ensure their lettering, verify, process and record invoices.
  • Track inventories, calculate provisions, manage fixed assets, track bank suspense;

Technical skills

  • Have a baccalaureate +3 (Bachelor)) in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or any other related degrees directly related to the position.
  • Knowledge of WINPACCS ACCOUNTING would be an asset.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • In-depth understanding of administrative and financial management procedures
  • Mastery of MS Office and accounting software.
  • In-depth knowledge of management control, finance, management informatics
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities
  • Be bilingual (French and English)
