Cameroon-based health and prevention research firm for a PEPFAR-funded military HIV care and treatment program
.

The positions are:

Duty Stations:
- Bamenda: Military Medical Centre (01)
- Bertoua: Military Medical Centre (01)
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Conduct day-to-day screening, liaison and retention activities in
facilities while ensuring that they align with the steps, objectives,
strategies and activities defined by the PEPFAR program.
- Organize and ensure the traceability of failing customers, before they are lost
for follow-up.
- Conduct advanced HIV testing focused on contact persons of index cases.
- Provide support to families, partner notification and screening, and
linking and retention to care through defined strategies.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly statistics and submit
them to the Regional Technical Adviser for reporting.
- Ensure proper handling of project documentation and tools, work
materials and data, as well as weekly inventory of
consumables and supplies and communicate with supervisors for
replenishment if necessary to avoid interruption in service delivery.
- Align and observe the rules and disciplines required by the military medical service.
- Align and observe the rules and disciplines required by the implementing partner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Regional Technical Advisor, the Technical Director
of the project, the Deputy Technical Director of the project.
Professional qualifications/requirements:
- Nursing degree with at least 3 years of experience in the direct delivery of
health services to people living with HIV.
- Clinic-oriented and comfortable with a team approach to program implementation
.
- Ability to manage several major activities simultaneously.
- Ability to establish strong working relationships with local communities.
- Knowledge and practical experience of health-related interventions and clinical ethics requirements
.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Experience implementing community-based interventions in
projects funded by USAID, PEPFAR or the Global Fund to Fight HIV, Malaria
and Tuberculosis.
Additional information:
Supervisory Responsibilities: The candidate will oversee the delivery of HIV
services in health facilities.
