Position to be filled: Capitalization and Valuation Officer
ALTERNATIVES-Cameroun is the Association for Freedom, Tolerance, Expression and Respect for People of Indigent Nature or Victims of Social Exclusion. The Association promotes the defense of human rights, is non-profit, governed by Law No. 90/053. It has been legally recognized since October 27, 2006 by the Prefecture of Wouri (Declaration n°204/RDDA/C19/BAPP). Since 2008, we have opened a center called “Medical Center Access” in order to advocate accessibility to information on HIV, the prevention and treatment of this infection.
In order to initiate a Capitalization process in collaboration with all the actors of its Projects, ALTERNATIVES-Cameroon is launching a call for applications for the recruitment of:
(01) a Capitalization and Valorization Officer
Under the direct supervision of the Monitoring-Evaluation and Capitalization Manager; he/she will have to carry out the missions and responsibilities such as participating in or contributing to :
· Supporting the association in the writing, planning of projects/programs and in their implementation: facilitation of workshops, production of tools, support for the collection, processing, analysis and data synthesis;
· In the development of any strategic document of the association and its partners;
· The development and implementation of monitoring, evaluation and capitalization plans;
· Capacity building for the team and its partners in monitoring and evaluation, planning, capitalization and change-oriented approaches;
· The implementation of effective tools to support the improvement and standardization of the quality of its projects/programmes;
· The development of manuals, brochures, technical sheets, power point presentations, activities of the association for internal and external distribution;
The collection , organization and production of quality content (capitalization sheets, reports, testimonials, interviews, videos, photos, media articles, etc. within the framework of projects/programmes) in order to ensure the visibility of the implementation of network activities, in support of the Advocacy and Communication team;
Profile and Requirements:
The position of Capitalization and Valorization Officer defined above requires technical and professional level expertise. Interested candidates must demonstrate the following qualifications and experience:
– Hold a diploma of at least BAC +3/Degree in statistics, economics, institutional development, sociology or equivalent (computer science, management, experience on projects in a humanitarian and/or development context, etc.)
– Have confirmed professional experience of at least 1 year in the conduct of learning processes (capitalization of experiences, evaluation, monitoring of effects) within development projects/programmes.
– Knowledge of capitalization methodology;
– Honest, available, organized, dynamic and motivated
– Be in non-judgment and confidentiality
– Strong personality, with good communication and persuasion skills
– Spirit of synthesis and high sense of management and teamwork
– Be in accordance with the statutes and internal regulations of Alternatives Cameroon
– Speak and write fluently either French and/or English
– Have a good ability to understand and adapt
– Have good computer skills
– Knowledge of the Cameroonian health system
– Knowledge in community projects (NGOs/OBCs/OBFs)
– Competence in graphic design and communication software would be an asset
Duration of the contract : CDI
Salary intention : according to the salary grid; full-time
