CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE POST OF EXPERT IN PUBLIC HEALTH – EUROBIOPARK
Conceptualized by the University of Rome Tor Vergata, EUROBIOPARK embarked on its mission at the end of the 90s. Funded in part by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE), its main objective was technology transfer in biomedicine for emerging and developing countries.
Its founding vision is to connect specific activities between members of the university community, scientific research societies and promote it in a national territory focused on central-southern Italy and the Mediterranean. EUROBIOPARK flourishes in the development, implementation and administration of scientific and technological projects on a national and international scale.
With activities ranging from research, technology transfer and human resource training, EUROBIOPARK brings substantial benefits in the field of drug development, drug testing and diagnostic kits. EUROBIOPARK strengthens the Italian presence in many research projects across Europe, sharing industrial properties and innovative know-how with a positive impact on financial markets. Long-term goals are geared toward today's youth for innovative education and the expansion of popular science for public and private entities.
As part of the inter-municipal partnership project between the town hall of Vasanello and the town halls of the Department of Menoua for a response to the emergence of COVID19, the Eurobiopark Cameroon headquarters based in Dschang (SYCOME headquarters) is looking for various profiles to constitute its work teams. .
Placed under the authority of the Local Coordinator and the supervision of the Administrator of the project entitled "Municipal Partnership for the Epidemiological Emergency of Covid-19"; the Public Health Expert's main mission will be to coordinate the implementation of all public health actions within the framework of the project.
These include the following activities.
Authorization of the Ethics Committee.
Administrative authorizations in collaboration with the administrative manager.
Survey on the perception of the Covid-19 epidemic, prevention measures, with an emphasis on anti-Covid vaccination.
Covid-19 seroprevalence survey in the leading health facilities of the 06 districts of the Department of Menoua.
Microbiological control survey of water for food use.
Ethnobotanical study on the medicinal plants used by the population of the
West Region for the prevention and treatment of Covid-19.
Organization of awareness and communication campaigns on Covid-19. Collaboration with computer scientists in the health register and the telephone health alert.
Collaboration with the health section of the Emergency Operations Center, also developing the Covid-19 Emergency Plan.
Contribution to the work of planning and preparation of monthly and final reports to the Italian cooperation services.
Technical assistance in the organization and facilitation of capacity building sessions.
Support of the accounting follow-up (control of invoices and other supporting documents) of the tasks entrusted to him.

Supporting elements confirming the implementation of activities
NB: The implementation of the above-mentioned activities must imperatively be preceded by the production of the related Terms of Reference; which must be validated by the local coordination team of the project before implementation.
Recruitment methods
The position is open to contract staff, remuneration will be defined according to the profile and experience of the candidate.
Duration of the contract: 12 months.
Remuneration (depending on the monthly exchange rate): 300 euro gross.
