Project description :

The development objective of the VIVA-Bénoué Project is to provide sustainable irrigation and drainage services and improve agricultural production in the irrigated areas of the Bénoué Valley.


This objective can be achieved thanks to an optimal exploitation of nearly 10,000 ha rehabilitated and developed and made available to the operators and to the improvement of the technical and economic management of the lands of the Bénoué valley. Through total water control, the project will enable farmers to produce regularly and reduce vulnerability, stimulate rural employment and provide agricultural services in a context where agriculture is faced with very harsh climatic conditions. difficult.

The technical assistance should provide technical support to the project, and contribute directly to the implementation of the following sub-components:


1.3: Irrigation and drainage management


2.1: Purchase vouchers for the relaunch of production in the new perimeters


3.2: Innovations and agricultural training

The main responsibilities of the expert will be:

Under the coordination of the Head of Mission, he will have to ensure the accounting follow-up of the activities of the Technical Assistance mission.

Qualifications and skills required:

The expert will have a university qualification (Bac + 3 level) in Accounting or equivalent. In particular, he/she must be able to claim general professional experience of more than 8 years.


Specific work experience:


Have been in a position of chief accountant in at least 2 similar projects / programs;

Knowledge in the follow-up and the establishment of the memories of expenses in an organization
