About us
An inter urban transportation company, Parklane Travels is looking to provide affordable yet comfortable transportation services within the national territory. Commencing with the Buea, Daoula and Yaoundé route, we are actively seeking the services of a Branch/Agency Manager.
Primary purpose:
A Bus transportation manager plans, organizes, directs, and controls the operations of bus operators. They also co-ordinate and direct the activities of staff, overseeing not only the day-to-day tasks, but the hiring, training, and evaluating of staff members.
Responsibilities
As a travel agency manager, you'll need to:
- Making Sure Vehicles are properly maintained: Sanitary conditions, Routine maintenance, and repairs etc.
- Reducing the risk of vehicle overloading.
- Keeping bus schedules and coordinating team members.
- Collaborating with staff members to formulate and implement transportation-related procedures as well as company revenue goals and customer service objectives.
- Ensuring that drivers and other related staff comply with transportation-related policies, as well as safety rules, government regulations etc.
- Promote and market the business.
- Manage budgets and maintain statistical and financial records
- Sell travel products and tour packages
- Deliver and exceed branch performance and productivity
- Take part in familiarization visits to new destinations, to gather information on issues and amenities of interest to consumers.
- Deal with customer enquiries and aim to meet their expectations.
- Provide sales reports to head office.
- Implement alternative and innovative ideas for achieving new business.
- Oversee the smooth, efficient running of the agency.
- Give report on employees’ attendance on a monthly base.
- Deal with minor employee complaints.
- Deal with disciplinary matters and customer complaints.

- Ability to work well with team members and navigate stressful situations.
- Critical thinking skills and Analytical mindset.
- Second language as an asset (English Or French)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Nice to Have
- Transportation Industry experience (5 years or more).
- Minimum of 5 years working experience.
